A note on compliant use
Goodiebag is designed for social gifting, appreciation, and digital rewards. Recipients should not be required to pay to participate. Do not use Goodiebag for betting, gambling, lotteries, raffles, illegal promotions, scams, or any activity prohibited by our Terms or payment partners.
Claims are not guaranteed
Opening a Goodiebag link does not guarantee a payout. Claims depend on available slots, correct PIN, supported-bank verification, fraud checks, payment partner availability, and the Goodiebag's expiry time.
Community gift questions
Can I restrict who claims in my community group?+
Yes. Use the Guest List option to enter specific phone numbers so only intended members can claim.
Should I use Equal Split or Lucky Split?+
Equal Split ensures everyone gets the same amount. Lucky Split adds excitement if your community enjoys surprises.
Do community members need a Goodiebag account?+
No. They open the link, enter the PIN and their phone number, and claim to OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint.
What if someone misses the claim window?+
Goodiebags expire after the set duration. Unclaimed funds are refunded, so no money is lost.
Can community leaders see who claimed?+
Yes. The dashboard shows which slots were claimed and which are still available. No need to ask members to confirm in the group.
What if a member does not have OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint?+
They will need one of these supported banks to claim. Let members know in advance so they can set up an account if needed.
What can go wrong and how we handle it
Members enter wrong phone numbers. If the phone number is not linked to OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint, the transfer fails and the slot is restored so another member can try.
The community link is shared beyond your group. Use Guest List when you need to restrict claims to specific phone numbers. For open community gifts, a Public Drop is fine.
Some members miss the announcement. Choose a 24-hour claim window when running gifts for communities where members check messages at different times.
