What is Goodiebag?

Goodiebag helps you send social cash gifts to people on WhatsApp, Telegram, your live stream, or anywhere you share a link. You create a Goodiebag, set the total amount and number of claimants, then fund it securely via Paystack. After that, share the unique link and PIN. Each person enters the PIN to claim their share. No app download needed. No Goodiebag account required to claim.

How do I create a Goodiebag?

Go to getgoodiebag.com and tap Start a Goodiebag. Enter your name and pick an occasion. Set the total amount (minimum ₦500), choose how many people share it (2 to 200), pick Lucky Split or Equal Split, choose Public Drop or Guest List, then enter your email and phone and pay securely with Paystack. After payment you receive a unique claim link and a 4-digit PIN to share.

What are the minimum and maximum amounts?

Minimum total Goodiebag is ₦500. The required minimum depends on how many people you include and whether you choose Lucky Split or Equal Split. The Create page calculates the minimum automatically. Maximum Goodiebag value is ₦200,000. Maximum per-recipient payout is ₦49,999. Goodiebags above ₦50,000 require a one-time email verification before payment is processed. All limits are shown on the Create page before you pay.

What are the fees?

The sender pays Goodiebag's platform and fulfilment fees. Platform fee is 3% of the Goodiebag value, capped at ₦3,000. Fulfilment fee is ₦20 per recipient. Example: a ₦10,000 Goodiebag for 10 people costs ₦10,500 total. Your 10 recipients split the full ₦10,000. If an individual payout is ₦10,000 or more, statutory ₦50 stamp duty is borne by the receiver.

How do recipients get their money?

When someone claims from a Goodiebag, their share is processed through Paystack to their supported phone-linked fintech bank account, typically within minutes but subject to bank and payment partner availability.

Do I need a Goodiebag account or wallet to receive money?

No Goodiebag wallet, no Goodiebag account needed. You just need a phone number linked to an OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint account. Goodiebag does not operate customer wallets or stored-value accounts. Payments and payouts are processed through Paystack and supported payment partners. You can look up your claim history anytime by phone number. If you create an account with email, you can also save a receiving bank account for faster claims.

Can I change my registered phone number?

No. Your phone number is tied to your profile and all claims you make. Once registered, it cannot be changed through self-service. Make sure the phone number you register is correct and belongs to you. If you registered an incorrect number, contact support@getgoodiebag.com for assistance. Additional verification may be required.

Can I save my bank account for faster claims?

Yes, if you create a Goodiebag account with your email and link a phone number. You can save one receiving bank account to your profile. On future claims, you can select your saved account instead of re-entering bank details each time. To save a bank account: sign in, go to your account settings, verify your email with a one-time code, and confirm the bank account through Paystack verification. Only one bank account may be saved per profile.

Can I change my saved bank account?

Saved bank accounts are locked once confirmed and cannot be changed through self-service. To request a change, submit a support request to support@getgoodiebag.com explaining why the account needs to change. Change requests are reviewed manually and are subject to verification, fraud checks, and approval. Goodiebag does not guarantee that a change request will be approved.

Do I need an account to save my bank details?

Yes. Saved bank accounts are only available to users who create a Goodiebag account with email and link a phone number. If you claim without signing in, you will need to enter your bank details each time you claim. Creating an account lets you save your bank account once and select it on future claims instead of re-entering details.

Which banks are supported?

Goodiebag currently supports OPay, PalmPay, and Moniepoint, Nigerian fintech banks where your phone number can identify your account. Claims are tied to a phone number, so payouts must go to a bank account connected to that same phone for security. More bank coverage may come later.

Are there any fees for recipients?

Goodiebag does not charge recipients a claim fee. The sender covers the platform and fulfilment fees. If your individual payout is ₦10,000 or more, statutory stamp duty, bank charges, or payment partner charges may apply and may be deducted from your payout where required.

What is a Public Drop vs a Guest List?

Public Drop means anyone with the link and PIN can claim. Great for open groups, community chats, and live streams. Guest List means only the specific phone numbers you add can claim. Each claim is verified against your list before the bag opens. Perfect for private groups, team bonuses, or when you want to control exactly who participates.

How long does a Goodiebag last?

Senders choose how long a Goodiebag stays open: 1 hour (Flash drop), 2 hours (Quick drop), 6 hours (Half-day), or 24 hours (Full day). If all recipients claim before time is up, the bag closes early. Any unclaimed funds after the chosen window are normally refunded to the sender's original payment method, subject to payment partner, bank, and fraud processing.

What happens to unclaimed money?

Unclaimed funds are normally refunded to the sender's original payment method after the bag expires, subject to Paystack, bank, card network, fraud, compliance, and technical processing. Refund timing may vary.

Is Goodiebag safe?

Yes. Payments are processed by Paystack, a regulated payment service provider in Nigeria. Card details are never stored. Every Goodiebag is PIN-protected with hashed PINs. Each claim is locked to a unique phone number. Bank account names are verified by Paystack before any transfer is sent. Goodiebag uses device fingerprinting and browser signals to reduce duplicate claims, bot activity, and PIN guessing.

Can I track my Goodiebags?

Yes. Go to getgoodiebag.com/dashboard and enter your email to see all the Goodiebags you have created, how many have been claimed, the remaining count, and the full claim activity feed. You can also do this in the Goodiebag app: sign in and your active and past bags appear on the My Bags screen with live claim progress and a notification badge.

Can I use Goodiebag outside Nigeria?

You may be able to send from outside Nigeria if Paystack accepts your payment method. To receive funds, the claimant needs an OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint account linked to a Nigerian phone number. All transactions are in Nigerian Naira.

Is there a Goodiebag mobile app?

Yes. The Goodiebag app is available on Android and coming to iOS. It is a companion to the website. You do not need it to send or claim. The app gives senders a more personal experience: live notifications when your bag is being claimed, a My Bags screen with sent and received history together, a platform-wide live activity feed of drops and claims happening right now, and a native share sheet that bundles the bag link and PIN for quick sharing.

Do I need the app to send or claim a Goodiebag?

No. The website works without the app. You can send a bag or claim one from any browser, with no Goodiebag account or download needed. The app adds live notifications, bag history, received-claim history, a live activity feed, and quicker sharing.

What does the app show me that the website does not?

The app adds: a live notification badge when claims happen on your bags, a unified My Bags screen showing both bags you sent and bags you have received (by phone number), a platform-wide live activity feed of drops and claims happening right now, and a shortcode field to jump to any bag without the full link. The web dashboard at getgoodiebag.com/dashboard covers sent bags. The app adds received history alongside it.

How do I delete my Goodiebag account?

You can delete your account in two ways. Self-service: in the app, go to Profile, scroll to Danger Zone, and tap Delete account. On the website, sign in and visit getgoodiebag.com/account. By email: send a message to support@getgoodiebag.com with subject "Delete my account" and your account email address and we will process it within 14 days. Deleting your account removes your sign-in access and replaces your display name with "Deleted User" across the platform. See the next question for details on what data is kept after deletion.

What data is kept after I delete my account?

Deleting your account removes your ability to sign in and anonymizes your display name on any bags you dropped. However, because Goodiebag processes real financial transactions, certain records must be kept under Nigerian law even after deletion. Specifically: the phone number, bank name, transfer reference, and amount linked to each claim are kept for a minimum of 5 years for anti-money laundering and fraud compliance. Payment references on bags you created are also retained. An internal audit record containing your original email address and phone number is kept for up to 7 years, stored securely and accessible only for law enforcement or regulatory requests. This data is never shown to other users and is not used for marketing. The legal basis is our obligation under the NDPA 2023, CBN AML/CFT regulations, and our legitimate interest in preventing financial crime.

How do I contact support?

Email support@getgoodiebag.com or visit getgoodiebag.com/contact. For faster support, include your Goodiebag reference, payment reference if available, sender email, claim phone number, screenshot of the issue, and the approximate time of payment or claim. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days, but payment and payout investigations may take longer depending on banks, payment processors, and verification checks.

What is a claim receipt?

After a successful claim, you get a shareable receipt page showing the amount sent, recipient info (masked for privacy), bank details, and transfer reference. The receipt link appears in the success modal after claiming. It is useful as proof of transfer for giveaways and group drops.

What is a Double Drop offer?

After claiming a Goodiebag, you may receive a 48-hour offer to create your first Goodiebag with zero platform fee. The offer appears in the claim success screen. You have 48 hours to use it. Fulfilment fees (₦20 per recipient) still apply so recipients can be paid. This is our way of turning a successful claim into your first funded drop.

Can I pause claims or change the PIN after creating a bag?

Yes. From your dashboard, you can pause claims on an active Goodiebag (recipients will see a paused message). You can also rotate the PIN if it was shared too early or compromised. The old PIN stops working immediately. The bag link stays the same. These controls give you flexibility even after the bag is live.

What is Lucky Split?

Lucky Split is a social gifting mode where successful recipients may receive different amounts. The allocation is determined by Goodiebag's system based on the selected mode and available balance. Recipients do not pay to participate, and Lucky Split is not betting, gambling, lottery, or wagering.

Does opening a Goodiebag link guarantee money?

No. Opening a Goodiebag link does not guarantee a payout. Claims are subject to the Goodiebag still being active, available slots, remaining balance, correct PIN, supported bank verification, fraud checks, payment partner availability, and the Goodiebag's expiry time.

What if I share the PIN publicly?

Anyone with the correct link and PIN may be able to attempt a claim, subject to availability, verification, fraud checks, and the rules of the Goodiebag. Only share the PIN when you are ready for claims to begin. Senders are responsible for where they share Goodiebag links and PINs.

What if I enter the wrong phone number?

If the phone number does not resolve to a supported account, the claim may fail. If you confirm an account and the payout is successfully processed, reversal may not be possible. Always check the displayed account name before submitting your claim.

What happens if a payout fails?

If a payout fails, Goodiebag may retry the payout, request corrected details, place the claim under review, return the amount to the Goodiebag balance, refund the sender where appropriate, or place the transaction under manual review depending on the reason for failure and applicable risk checks.

Is Lucky Split gambling?

No. Goodiebag is for social gifting, appreciation, rewards, and community engagement. Recipients do not pay Goodiebag to participate in a claim. Goodiebag is not a betting, gambling, lottery, or wagering service.

Why does Goodiebag use device fingerprinting?

Goodiebag uses device and browser signals to reduce duplicate claims, bot activity, PIN guessing, scripted abuse, and other fraud. It is used for security and abuse prevention, not for selling personal data or third-party behavioural advertising.

Can supported banks change?

Yes. Supported banks (currently OPay, PalmPay, and Moniepoint) may change based on payment partner availability, verification reliability, payout success rates, compliance requirements, or operational risk.
