How it works

One payment. One link. Fast money gifts.

Goodiebag turns group money gifting into a clean gifting flow. The sender funds a bag, recipients claim from a browser, and successful claims are processed through Paystack to supported phone-linked fintech bank accounts.

For senders

Create the drop in minutes

Use Goodiebag when you want to reward a crowd without collecting account details or repeating transfers one by one.

Create01

Set up the bag

Choose how much you want to give, how many people can claim, and whether the money should be shared equally or as a Lucky Split. Add your sender name, occasion, and contact details.

Pay02

Pay securely through Paystack

You pay once through Paystack using a supported card, transfer, USSD, or checkout method. Goodiebag only creates the active bag after payment is verified.

Share03

Drop the link and PIN

After payment, you get a unique claim link and PIN. Share both in your WhatsApp group, Telegram channel, live stream, status, or social feed.

For recipients

Claim without downloading anything

The recipient flow is short on purpose. Link, PIN, supported bank, done.

Open01

Open the claim link

Recipients do not need a Goodiebag account or app. They open the shared link in their browser and enter the PIN from the sender. Claims are subject to availability, correct PIN, supported bank verification, fraud checks, and expiry time.

Verify02

Choose their fintech bank

The recipient selects OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint and enters the phone number linked to that account. The name is checked before money is sent.

Receive03

Receive your payout

Once the claim is accepted, Goodiebag triggers a Paystack transfer to the selected phone-linked bank account. There is no wallet and no withdrawal step. Payouts are processed through Paystack, typically within minutes but subject to bank and payment partner availability.

What makes it useful

Built for Nigerian group gifting

Lucky or Equal Split

Use Equal Split when everyone should receive the same amount. Use Lucky Split when successful recipients may receive different amounts determined by the system. Lucky Split is a social gifting feature, not betting, gambling, lottery, or wagering.

Public Drop or Guest List

Public Drops are for open groups and audiences. Guest List helps restrict claims to selected phone numbers for private groups, teams, and controlled rewards.

Live claim activity

Senders can track claims as they happen. This turns the drop into a visible social moment instead of a quiet transfer hidden inside a bank app. Each completed claim comes with a shareable receipt for proof of transfer.

No app download

Recipients claim from the web. That matters in Nigeria, where storage space, data cost, and signup fatigue can kill participation.

No account numbers to collect

The supported banks (OPay, PalmPay, Moniepoint) use phone-linked accounts, so the claim flow is simpler. Supported banks may change based on payment partner availability and verification reliability.

Unclaimed funds return

Goodiebags expire after the sender's chosen duration (1, 2, 6, or 24 hours). Unclaimed funds are normally refunded to the sender after expiry, subject to payment partner, bank, fraud, and technical processing.

No wallet, no stored value

Goodiebag does not operate customer wallets or stored-value accounts. Payments and payouts are processed through Paystack and supported payment partners. Senders fund a Goodiebag, and successful claims are processed directly to supported recipient accounts.

Sender controls

Senders can pause claims or rotate the PIN from their dashboard at any time. Only share the PIN when you are ready for claims to begin. If a link or PIN is compromised, stop new claims quickly. The sender is responsible for where and when the link and PIN are shared.

Get the app for a richer experience

The Goodiebag app (Android, iOS coming) lets senders track claims live with a notification badge, see sent and received history together, and share the bag link and PIN in one tap via the native share sheet. Not required. The web works without it.

Why switch

Manual transfers vs Goodiebag

Collecting account numbers and sending one by one is slow. Here is what changes when you use a single link and PIN.

Manual transfersGoodiebag
Collect account numbers manuallyShare one link and PIN
Send money one person at a timeRecipients claim automatically
Hard to track who receivedClaim status and recap
No group excitementCreates a group moment
Easy to make mistakesVerification and claim checks
Boring processSocial and shareable

Common questions

Does a recipient need to create a Goodiebag account?+
No. A recipient opens the link, enters the PIN, selects a supported bank, confirms the phone-linked account, and claims. The money goes straight to their bank.
Can I send to someone outside Nigeria?+
Goodiebag is built for Nigerian Naira payouts. Senders may be able to pay from outside Nigeria if Paystack accepts their payment method, but recipients need an OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint account linked to a Nigerian phone number.
What happens if everyone claims quickly?+
The Goodiebag closes once all available slots are claimed. Anyone who opens the link after that will see that the bag is finished.
Why use a PIN?+
The PIN gives senders control over timing and access. You can post the link first, then release the PIN when your audience is ready.
