When you are ready to fund real prizes, a paid game needs a prize pool of at least N5,000, or N500 per question, whichever is larger, across 2 to 20 questions. The host funds the whole pool up front through the usual Goodiebag checkout, the same way you would fund a Lucky Split or Equal Split bag.
Write or Upload Your Questions
Each question needs 2 to 4 multiple-choice options. You can type questions directly into the creation flow or upload a spreadsheet of questions, which saves time if you already have a quiz written out. For a paid game, give each question its own prize amount. This is not a fixed pool split evenly; you decide how much each question is worth.
Set the Pace
By default, each question stays open for 30 seconds, and you can adjust that up or down. You also set the minimum number of players needed before the game can start, and you can cap how many questions a single player is allowed to win, so a fast player does not sweep every prize in a large room.
Share the Join Code, Not a PIN
This is the biggest difference from an ordinary Goodiebag. There is no claim link and no PIN. Instead, your game gets a join code: a short code players type in to enter your live room. Share it the same way you would share anything else, in your group chat, on your live stream, or in your community channel. Players open the join page, enter the code and a nickname, and they are in the room. No app, no account, no sign-in required for players.
Players can also join a game that is already underway. Late joiners come in as idle so they never interrupt a question in progress, and they become fully active the moment they answer their first question.
How a Question Gets Won
Once you start the session, questions run one at a time. The fastest correct answer wins that question's prize, decided by the server's received timestamp rather than each player's local clock, so a fast connection cannot fake a win. A question closes the moment every active player has answered, so a quick room never sits waiting out the full timer.
What Happens to Questions Nobody Gets Right
If nobody answers a question correctly, it does not just sit unwon. Any question nobody got right replays in a bonus round after the main sequence. If someone wins it in that round, another bonus round runs with whatever is still unwon, up to 3 bonus rounds in total. Every player gets a fresh shot in a bonus round, including anyone who answered wrong earlier. If a question is still unwon after the bonus rounds, its prize money returns to you as the host.

Winnings are not paid out question by question. They tally across the whole session, and at the end, each winning player receives a single transfer covering everything they won, sent to a supported fintech bank account (OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint). The results screen at the end of the game shows every question, its correct answer, and the nickname of whoever won it, which doubles as a shareable recap of the session.
The Fee Stack
A paid game uses the same fee stack as any other Goodiebag: a 3% platform fee capped at N3,000, plus a N20 fulfilment fee per question. That last part is worth being precise about: the per-recipient fee is charged per question, not per player, because each question is its own prize allocation. A 20-question game carries N400 in fulfilment fees regardless of whether 3 people join or 300. There is also a N200 minimum combined fee, and a N50 stamp duty on any single payout of N10,000 or more, which is a government charge borne by the winner, not by you. A Note on Compliant Use
Goodiegames is a social gifting format, not a betting or gambling product. Players never pay anything to enter or play a game; the host funds any prizes up front, so nobody stakes money and nobody can lose money.
